Over the past 25 years, our firm has grown, adapted, and evolved, shaped by the insight and experience of the attorneys who have built their careers here. Along the way, they’ve learned what it takes to be a great attorney, build lasting relationships, work together as a team, and stay true to our values.
Here are the key lessons they’ve learned in 25 years:
Matthew Miller
- Every team member at the Firm needs to live our mission, vision, and core values each day.
- Client service trumps all else.
- Make it a daily task to balance and prioritize your time.
- Think and act like a business owner, not just a lawyer.
Dan Sarzynski
- Give your clients clear and definitive answers to their questions.
- Treat your relationships with your clients like partnerships, not transactions.
- Be yourself.
Marco Cercone
- Be your genuine self. People often connect with those they feel comfortable with. If you are authentic with others, they generally will feel at ease and will connect with you.
- There is no substitute for hard work. Tenacity, leaving no stone unturned. That’s what most clients who are having trouble are looking for and if you can provide it, your client already is 10 steps ahead of their opponent.
- No one is an island. It often takes a village to accomplish any task. Collaborate with your colleagues as that often times leads to exceptional results.
- We at Rupp Pfalzgraf LLC are a family of dedicated people who rise above adversity, which always makes us stronger.
Caitlyn Shank
- Two heads are better than one – Prioritize your team and collaborate often to achieve the best results
- Knowledge is power – The best lawyers are those who desire and choose to learn something new every day
- Your time is invaluable – Use it wisely and don’t let anyone waste it. Establish boundaries and protect your work-life balance
- “Be good, do good, God bless, GO BILLS” – Josh Allen
Cory Weber
- Learn to leverage technology to better serve our clients. Technology like our GoToVerdict software allows our trial attorneys to intelligently select juries and give clients the best possibility of success.
- Regular communication with clients is essential. Keeping clients actively engaged and informed, particularly about strategy and risks involved, results in far better client satisfaction – even when there are setbacks in litigation.
Kyle DiDone
- Be open, honest, and direct. A candid approach will pay dividends in terms of trust and mutual respect.
- Never underestimate your opponent, or yourself.
- Rise to every challenge no matter how big or small it may be.
- Embrace growth and learning. View challenges as opportunities to grow and learn. Always strive to expand your horizons and improve.
Jill Yonkers
- Treat people well.
- Collaborate, when possible.
- Endeavor to learn something new.
- Endeavor to try something new.
