Paul J. Tortora Jr. is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in family and matrimonial law. As a Partner at Rupp Pfalzgraf LLC, Paul leads the Syracuse region’s legal team, ensuring efficient case management, high-quality representation, and client satisfaction. He plays a key role in firm leadership, overseeing associate attorneys and support staff while providing counsel in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, and domestic violence cases.

With a legal career spanning over a decade, Paul has held prominent positions at a number of respected law firms, as well as serving as an aide to several members of the U.S. House of Representatives. His impressive track record includes managing complex litigation, mentoring young attorneys, securing favorable outcomes for his clients, and assisting in the drafting of federal legislation. His dedication to excellence is reflected in his ability to maintain strong client relationships far after the conclusion of his representation. Paul holds a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and earned certificates in National Security and Counterterrorism Law as well as Global Law and Policy. He also graduated cum laude from Syracuse University with a double major in Political Science and History, and a minor in Philosophy, where he was a member of both the Political Science and History honor societies. He is the author of numerous articles and has given several presentations in the area of family and matrimonial law. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Paul’s time outside of work is largely spent with his three young children, coaching their teams and sharing his love of sports and film with them.
