Rupp Pfalzgraf was featured in recent articles by WKBW News 7, The Buffalo News, and Buffalo Toronto Public Media covering the independent investigation our firm conducted for the Buffalo Public Schools regarding student safety concerns. The investigation was led by Partner Jill Yonkers, who leads our Education Law practice group.
The Buffalo Public Schools retained Rupp Pfalzgraf as a special independent investigator to examine concerns related to student safety protocols and reporting practices. The investigation involved interviews with 66 individuals and an extensive document review.
The results of the report identified systemic challenges within the district’s approach to student safety and provided recommendations to help address the issues and strengthen safety frameworks across the district. The district’s Board of Education has received the report and is currently reviewing its recommendations.
