Before entering the legal profession, I spent nearly two decades leading New York StateWatch, Inc., a legislative intelligence and news service covering New York State government. As Director and Co-Director, I expanded the company’s subscriber base and revenue substantially while building a reputation for timely, accurate reporting and strategic insight into state government and public affairs. I worked with programmers to develop creative solutions in delivering relevant and actionable information to government influencers under tight time constraints and within a real-time environment.
Within the legal profession, I work to bring my experiences guiding a team within a challenging and high-stakes environment to bear for the benefit of clients. I developed a personalized approach to meeting client needs in my prior work, and I continue that effort as an attorney. I possess persistent curiosity which pushes me to reach for and anticipate the next question and to consider the future effects of language written today. When I pair these skills and attributes with a passion for providing quality service, I find myself a fit within the caliber of attorneys and services that Rupp Pfalzgraf provides its clientele.
Outside of work, I am deeply interested in environmental issues, public policy, and the outdoors. I have held leadership roles in professional and conservation organizations, earned recognition including City & State’s “40 Under 40 Rising Stars,” and enjoy hiking, camping, playing and writing music, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.
