Whether I’m conducting a complex compliance review, advising on employment issues, or litigating a dispute in state or federal court, I truly believe in being proactive, not reactive.
My diverse practice focuses on advising employers on all matters related to their workforce. I proactively work with management on compliance and training to reduce or mitigate any perceived risk to the business and also assist businesses with all aspects of employment related audits and investigations. When a dispute arises, I defend employers from a wide variety of claims involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under state and federal law, including the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York Labor Law, the New York Workers Compensation Law, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, the Equal Pay Act, and ERISA, among others. I have significant experience litigating these types of claims before the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and in state and federal courts.
In addition to my employment practice, I advise clients on general business matters such as operating or shareholder agreements and commercial leases, and litigate a variety of complex business and contractual disputes.
