Dan Sarzynski is a Rupp Pfalzgraf partner and the leader of our Banking & Creditors’ Rights and Construction Law group. He has been practicing law for 24 years.
Why did Dan choose to work at Rupp Pfalzgraf?
Dan was the first associate hired by the firm in 2002. The firm wasn’t quite two years old at the time. He had been working for an established firm in Rochester, but he’d been looking to make a return to Buffalo where he went to law school. He was excited about the opportunity to work for a startup, so to speak, but he was even more excited about the people. Everyone who was here at the time, and there weren’t more than seven or eight people, was welcoming and made him feel part of the team, and he instantly felt that he belonged.
What type of work does Dan find most rewarding in his practice?
He finds it most rewarding when he can help a client get a good result on a matter where they’ve been wronged or taken advantage of.
What is a fun fact about Dan that people may be surprised to learn?
A fun fact about Dan is that he is, or at least used to be, fluent in French. He was a French major in college and studied in France in college and in law school. He’s a bit rusty now, but he’s always looking for ways to listen to or read French so he can try to stay as sharp as possible.
What is Dan’s best legal tip?
Dan’s best legal tip is to always be decisive when giving advice to a client. Clients hire lawyers to tell them what they can and cannot do, so clients don’t want lawyers who are indecisive.
