Founding partners Tony Rupp and David Pfalzgraf started the firm in 2000 with a clear vision and a “scrappy” forward-thinking approach. What began as a four-attorney firm in downtown Buffalo has grown into the fifth-largest law firm in Western New York, with more than 80 attorneys across seven offices statewide.
That same spirit of bold decision-making that fueled our growth is driving our next chapter, as we prepare to launch a dedicated Artificial Intelligence Practice Group, led by partner Chad Davenport, and continue integrating AI tools into our practice, including our pioneering role as the first to adopt Lexis+ AI, a legal research platform.

As we look towards the future, David Pfalzgraf shared his vision for the next 25 years: ensuring our “team-first focus is embraced by the next generation,” which he believes will propel our continued growth.
