What’s been the most rewarding part of leading a team for 25 years?
Getting the chance to work with some amazing people. Our goal was always to build a firm that boasted “great lawyers and great people,” and we’ve lived up to that aspiration.
What’s one thing about the firm today that makes you most proud?
Seeing the professional development and personal fulfillment of so many incredible people. I am most proud of the team that we’ve assembled over the years. It is truly “best in class” and one of a kind.
Looking back, is there a memory from the early years that still stands out?
The early days. Working 7 days a week and 15+ hours a day for at least the first year. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. We embraced the challenge. We loved when others doubted us. We were a proud “challenger” brand. We became a team and a family fast. And we’ve embraced that same “be humble, work hard, elevate the interests of the team above self-interest, invest in our people and culture” mindset for 25 years and it shows in all of our people.
What’s been the most unexpected part of this 25-year journey?
The fun that we’ve had building a unique “one of a kind” law firm.
