We are excited to share that Rupp Pfalzgraf partner Jamie Batt was featured in Buffalo Business First, where she joined a distinguished group of leading women attorneys for an insightful conversation about the advancing role of women in law. The article discusses the unique challenges women face in the legal field, the shifting dynamics of the profession, and the importance of supporting and empowering the next generation of female attorneys.
During the discussion, Jamie offered her perspective on the evolving landscape of law and the challenges women continue to overcome in a profession where traditional barriers are being broken. She highlighted the unique hurdles women face in establishing their reputations as attorneys, stating, “Women have to make themselves known. They have to be really great or do something that stands out. You have to prove yourself and become known, whereas it doesn’t seem like men have to in order to get their reputation.”
The conversation also explored topics such as advancing women into leadership positions, creating inclusive workplace cultures, and finding success while navigating the demands of the legal profession.
As the leader of our Business Law team, Jamie’s impact extends beyond her legal practice. She is passionate about creating opportunities for women to thrive, both inside and outside the firm, and is actively involved in community organizations such as the WNY Women’s Foundation and the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s Women United Advisory Board.
We’re proud to see Jamie’s voice make an impact in this important conversation!
