Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the insurance defense practice, overseeing a team of attorneys and support staff.
- Develop and execute effective defense strategies for clients in insurance matters, including coverage disputes, personal injury claims, property damage claims, and more.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on complex insurance-related issues.
- Handle a diverse caseload, from pre-litigation matters to trial and appeal.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and navigate litigation.
- Stay current with legal developments, statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to insurance defense.
- Act as a thought leader in the insurance defense field by contributing to legal publications, seminars, and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar.
- 7-15 years of experience in insurance defense, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior attorneys.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Well-established network within the insurance industry and legal community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and multiple priorities.

Salary Range:
$100,000 – $140,000 depending on experience.
