Rupp Pfalzgraf partners Benjamin Burge and Horace Gioia represented Better Parks Buffalo, Inc. in the sale of its South Buffalo land to Source Renewables, LLC, a Connecticut-based community solar developer.
The transaction involves 107 acres of land at the former Marilla Street Landfill site, adjacent to Frederick Law Olmsted’s historic South Park. Better Parks Buffalo purchased the parcel in 2018 and sought to develop the land into a public recreation space, including a golf course and education center to serve the South Buffalo community. The land will now be the site of a solar energy project, with Source Renewables planning to develop a $30 million solar farm that will bring clean, affordable energy to local households.
We congratulate Ben and Horace on successfully guiding this complex transaction to closing.
