Whether I’m guiding a business through complex government regulations for compliance, or litigating an action in state or federal court, I truly believe in being proactive, not reactive.

My diverse practice focuses on employment litigation, representing employers in the defense of a wide variety of claims of wrongful discharge or adverse action involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York Labor Law, the New York Workers Compensation Law, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, the Equal Pay Act, and ERISA, among others.  I have defended and litigated these types of claims before the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and in state and federal courts.  In addition to litigating these issues, I proactively work with management on compliance and training on the ever-evolving laws and regulations in order to reduce any perceived risk to the business.  I also assist businesses with all aspects of employment related audits and investigations, and work with business owners on compliance.

I also litigate complex business and contractual disputes, and counsel corporate clients on a variety of issues regarding contracts, commercial leases, operating agreements and bylaws, general board governance, and risk mitigation.
