Merve Gulbay is a lifelong Rochester resident and is an associate attorney in our firm’s Rochester office within the Insurance Defense practice group. Merve focuses her practice on third-party auto defense, premises liability, labor law, construction accidents, and subrogation. Merve is known for her thorough preparation and attention to detail, which has resulted in successful outcomes for her clients. During law school, Merve was involved as a teaching assistant for civil procedure, contracts, and was a student attorney at the Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic. Merve also competed in the Desmond Moot Court Competition and Mediation Competition. In her final semester of law school, Merve served as a Pro Bono Scholar at the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office. As an undergraduate, Merve majored in political science and history. On campus, she was involved as a leader in several clubs and volunteered regularly. Currently, Merve supports undergraduate students as a mentor at the University of Rochester alumni mentorship program. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and trying new coffee shops. Merve is fluent in Turkish.
