I have studied U.S. laws since I was in high school and have aspired to become a lawyer ever since. I have a very dynamic experience, such as attending schools in Beijing, China, during my formative years, state and prep schools in Korea, and attending law school in the UK for undergraduate and master’s degrees. My passion and understanding of people and law come from these diverse experiences I was privileged to have.
Before joining Rupp Pfalzgraf, I worked for a Korean law firm as a foreign legal consultant, advising clients around the world on Korean laws and issues they may face while doing business there. Understanding and overcoming cultural and language differences have been my second nature since I was a child, and I am utilizing it as much as I can in my legal practice to help clients who may be facing similar difficulties when navigating unfamiliar legal issues.
My primary practice areas are business litigation and civil rights law. I also used to advise clients on various data privacy and cybersecurity matters (Korea’s PIPA and EU GDPR) and am a Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States (CIPP/US) as certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I am proficient in Korean and speak limited Mandarin Chinese.
