Congratulations to TRS Packaging/TMP Technologies on the opening of its new $30 million, 290,000 square foot facility in Lackawanna, New York. This new facility will provide TMP Technology with significantly more manufacturing space, on-site storage space for all of its inventory, and the capacity to grow and create many new good-paying jobs.
TMP Technologies manufactures foam daubers, prep swabs, and plastic bottles, among other products. They also manufacture the popular Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
The new TMP Technology facility is located within Renaissance Commerce Park, a new manufacturing and warehouse commerce park located on the former Bethlehem Steel site. This property had a number of environmental challenges which needed to be addressed before it could be redeveloped because of its long history as the site of steel manufacturing operations.
Rupp Baase Pfalzgraf Cunningham LLC environmental attorney, John Kolaga, assisted the company in completing the cleanup process required under the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to construct its facility and operate on this site. The completion of this process also allowed TMP Technology to take advantage of significant state tax credits available for the remediation and redevelopment of the eligible property.
John Kolaga also worked with TMP Technology to satisfy the environmental concerns of the buyer of TMP’s former property on Dingens Street in the City of Buffalo so that the former facility could be sold and kept in productive use.
Congratulations again, TRS Packaging/TMP Technologies, on your new facility!
We wish you years of success and growth in your new location!
It was our pleasure to work with you and to be of service. Thank you for trusting us with your environmental legal needs.
