Who is Jill as an attorney?
Jill is a partner who practices insurance defense, commercial litigation, and matters affecting school districts and students including student discipline matters and general education matters.
Jill has been practicing in Buffalo for many years. She attended law school in Syracuse. Jill likes helping people avoid problems. If you run into a problem and need to go to court, call her. But she really likes helping people establish best practices, meet reporting requirements, and keep their businesses out of trouble.
Why did Jill become a lawyer?
Jill decided to go to law school when she was in college at SUNY Geneseo. She majored in biology and environmental studies; she wanted to go out and save the world. In her first year of law school, Jill was selected for a writing and research program with a litigation component. She was bit by the litigation bug and has not looked back since.
What is Jill’s most memorable case?
One of Jill’s most memorable cases is one from when she was a young lawyer. It was a trial where Jill had to travel several counties away. The case involved a fire under some very suspicious circumstances. This was a very fascinating case where Jill worked with a lot of experts, including one who used the first fire dog in NY.
Who is Jill outside of work?
Jill is a busy mom. She loves attending events involving her kids, like sports and music. She loves cheering on the Bills and rooting for her alma mater, Syracuse. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also likes to walk her dog and tries to spend as much time outside as possible.
What is Jill’s legal tip?
Don’t do anything that goes against your faith or personal beliefs. In the legal community, you are supposed to be zealous advocates for your clients but there are ways to be that advocate without compromising your morals.
