Who is Matt as a lawyer?
Matt Miller is a partner attorney in our labor & employment practice group. Matt has been practicing law for 16 years and also practices in our corporate litigation and campus disciplinary defense groups. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, Legal Elite of WNY, and was named to Buffalo Business First’s 40 under 40 list in 2016.
Matt graduated from Penn State University, The Dickinson School of Law, J.D. with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Advocacy.
Why did Matt become a lawyer?
“I wanted to help businesses creatively solve complex problems. I think a lawyer with a business litigation background and a proficiency in general corporate law is the perfect foundation for a labor & employment lawyer. It enables me to assist the business in all things employment-related while understanding all of the risks involved in every decision and to plan for potential outcomes. I am a business owner myself, I think like one, and thus can advise other business owners of the risks and benefits of decisions as if they were my own.”
Who is Matt outside of Work?
Matt is a family guy who spends the majority of his time with his wife, Mary, and his two children, Ethan and Claire. He enjoys spending time on the golf course and in the hockey rink, both playing and watching his kids play. Matt loves to travel and is a craft beer and wine enthusiast. Matt is a huge Bills and Sabres fan. He also enjoys entertaining around his firepit.
