Carlyn Lisko

A childhood passion for reading and an early awareness of injustice naturally drew Carly to the legal profession.  An undergraduate environmental justice course sparked a deeper interest in environmental law and ultimately led to a clerkship at the law firm of that college course’s professor just a few years later. That experience helped shape a career focused on environmental and land use litigation and reinforced her belief that the law can serve as a meaningful tool for both solving complex problems and advancing responsible development.

In practice, Carly takes a practical, solutions-oriented approach to representing clients facing environmental and land use challenges.  She works diligently to understand both their immediate needs and their long-term objectives, helping move projects forward while protecting clients’ legal and business interests, navigating complex regulatory schemes, resolving compliance issues, and addressing disputes head on when litigation becomes necessary.

Outside of legal practice, Carly enjoys the quieter side of life.  She spends much of her free time working on improving her golf swing and adventuring with her husband and dog to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding Buffalo area.
