About Me
As a business owner, CJ understands that clients are not looking for legal advice in a vacuum. They need practical, responsive counsel who understands how legal decisions affect operations, relationships, risk, and the bottom line. Having built and operated businesses of his own, CJ approaches each engagement from the client’s perspective and provides the high-quality work and service he expects when he is the client.
CJ brings that same perspective to real estate. He has experienced every side of a transaction—not only as counsel, but also as a client, buyer, seller, investor, syndicator, and lender. His experience operating a real estate syndication and development business gives him a practical understanding of how deals are sourced, financed, structured, negotiated, operated, and ultimately exited. Because he understands what is at stake beyond the documents, CJ anticipates issues, communicates clearly, and helps clients move transactions forward efficiently and with diligence.
As a partner in Rupp Pfalzgraf’s Real Estate and Business Law groups, CJ advises clients on real estate transactions, business formation and governance, commercial lending, contract negotiation, entity structuring, and risk management. Practicing in both New York and Montana, he works with business owners, developers, investors, and lenders throughout the full life cycle of a business or real estate investment.
