About Me

John Dracup approaches the practice of law with an analytical mindset, an appreciation for the practical considerations facing his clients, and an interest in finding efficient solutions to difficult problems.

As an associate in Rupp Pfalzgraf's Banking & Finance Law and Creditors' Rights practices, John assists businesses and creditors in recovering outstanding debts through pre-litigation demands, collection actions, motion practice, and obtaining judgments. He also assists with commercial disputes, including legal research and briefing in construction-related arbitration proceedings.

Before joining Rupp Pfalzgraf, John maintained a diverse general practice encompassing civil litigation, estate and guardianship proceedings, and criminal and family law matters. His experience appearing before courts throughout Western New York gave him a practical understanding of litigation and the importance of adapting legal strategy to the circumstances of each matter.

John earned both his J.D. and MBA from the University at Buffalo. His combined legal and business education, together with experience in financial services compliance and developing legal technology solutions, informs his interest in approaching legal problems from multiple perspectives.

Outside the office, John serves as Treasurer of the Black Rock Historical Society, supporting the preservation of Western New York's local history. He maintains an interest in emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and software development.
