About Me

Kayana Cobb’s approach to practicing law is rooted in being curious and creative. Curiosity ensures that all avenues are explored and all facts are considered at the face of each issue in a case. Kayana tends to pull on the loose threads, ask the right questions, and explore the less obvious angles to see where it leads. Creativity then often comes in where traditional options lapse. She looks forward to opportunities to look beyond the obvious approaches, be resourceful and think outside the box to serve clients by finding overlooked solutions that could work in unusual circumstances.

Kayana represents and defends employers and insurance companies against general liability claims by either litigating or resolving claims through alternative dispute resolution or settlement where appropriate.

Kayana’s background reflects a broad range of defense-focused experience related to insurance, including insurance defense, in-house counsel work for health plans and health information technology organizations, representation of clients in public health benefit and administrative appeals, and workers’ compensation claims.

Outside of practicing law, Kayana has a deep appreciation for the performing arts. Over the past five years, she has spent much of her free time training in aerial arts and acrobatics. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and feels fortunate to live near some of Upstate New York’s most beautiful mountain ranges and hidden gems.
