About Me
Rachel Wright focuses her legal practice on advising clients in the hospitality, nonprofit arts, and broader business sectors, with particular emphasis on business transactions, liquor licensing, regulatory compliance, and the day-to-day legal needs that keep organizations operating efficiently. She regularly counsels business owners, hospitality operators, and nonprofit leaders on practical legal strategies that support growth while maintaining compliance in complex regulatory environments.
Rachel’s approach to practicing law is grounded in real-world experience. Prior to entering the legal field, she spent several years working in the hospitality industry, managing large-scale festivals and events, developing craft cocktail programs, and overseeing high-volume operations. This hands-on background allows her to provide legal advice that is both practical and operationally informed, with a clear understanding of how businesses function in practice.
Her experience working inside businesses informs her transactional practice, particularly in advising clients on the purchase and sale of businesses and ownership transitions. Rachel focuses on understanding the full operational picture and guiding clients through each stage of a transaction with practical, business-minded counsel.
In addition to hospitality and beverage-related matters, Rachel works extensively with nonprofit arts organizations. With a Master’s degree in Arts Management and prior experience in nonprofit leadership, she understands the intersection of mission, governance, and regulatory obligations that shape the arts sector. She advises nonprofit clients on organizational structure, governance, compliance, and strategic initiatives that support long-term sustainability.
Rachel takes pride in bringing a practical perspective to every matter she handles and in serving as a steady, strategic partner to her clients. Outside of her legal practice, she remains connected to the hospitality community, currently studying for her sommelier certification and occasionally competing in craft cocktail competitions. She also enjoys traveling with her family and staying engaged with the vibrant arts community of Western New York.
