We Answer Your Banking & Finance Questions
- What loan documents are needed for particular transactions?
- What policies and procedures should we have in place to mitigate risk?
- How do we stay compliant in a dynamic regulatory environment?

- What should we do if a borrower files for bankruptcy?
Focus Areas
Lending
Our team has deep experience representing clients at the closing table in commercial lending transactions. Our attorneys provide counsel for the proper structure of a deal and strive to ensure that loan documentation is carefully prepared and reviewed. Our goal is to guide the lender and the borrower through a smooth and efficient closing process.
Regulatory Compliance and Operational Support
Banking regulations are constantly evolving. Our attorneys help financial institutions stay compliant by drafting, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures. Our attorneys also provide ongoing guidance to support sound operations. Among our many services, our attorneys review vendor contracts, offer guidance on account restraints and seizures, and help resolve real-time customer issues through our dedicated “help line.”
Collections
Collecting debts can be a challenge, but the right legal strategy can turn a defaulted loan or unpaid judgment into a meaningful recovery. Our attorneys pursue outstanding debts through every available legal avenue. Let our team attempt to recover the money that is rightfully yours.
Mortgage Foreclosures
When a mortgage goes past due, strict legal rules and timelines apply. Our attorneys guide lenders through commercial and residential foreclosures, from the first missed payment to the courthouse sale. Our attorneys ensure full legal compliance every step of the way.
Repossessions and Liquidations
Collateral can serve as important security for the repayment of a loan. When collateral needs to be repossessed and liquidated, call on our team to guide you through the process. From Article 9 sales to replevin proceedings, our attorneys can help you maximize your recovery.
Workouts and Restructurings
Litigation is not always the best path for a defaulted loan. Our attorneys assist with forbearance agreements, settlement agreements, and the negotiation and drafting of new loan documents to support workable outcomes.
Bankruptcy
A bankruptcy filing changes the playing field, but it does not eliminate leverage. When a borrower files for bankruptcy, our team represents creditors in Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 proceedings. Our attorneys advocate for creditors in order to ensure that their rights are protected throughout the bankruptcy process.
